It came back to my mind when Joel Salatin pointed to The Independent Farmstead as a potential subject for a Food Chain Radio show.

‘Hmmm,’ I thought. ‘That’s the book I was supposed to write, but wrote MetroFarm instead.   Go figure!

At any rate, when Joel points in a direction, I look in that direction, and what I saw was a husband and wife who did go up the country. Their adventure, in building a farm, from scratch, in the country leads me to ask…
